Account restricted when outside UK

When trying to access your account from outside the UK you may get problems and messages along the lines of 'Restricted location'. It is possible that the country you are in simply does not allow access to gambling websites or it could be a restriction set up on your Betfair account. See your account restrictions for details:
You will need to log in to your Betfair account via the website.
  • Go to 'My Account'
  • Click on 'My Security' from the list on the left.
  • Click on 'Account Restrictions' at the top.
You will now see the country restriction screen which says something like: You can specify the countries that you can login from. If you specify a list of countries and activate this feature, you will not be able to access your account when in other countries.
Login may occasionally fail if your Internet provider routes your connection through another country
Check to see if there are any restrictions set up. Also, check with your provider if they route via other countries that may have gambling restrictions.
